The Po is a river in northern Italy. Its length, 652 km, making it the longest river entirely within Italian territory, the one with the largest basin (about 71,000 km ²) and also the one with the maximum discharge at the mouth, it is minimal (absolute 270 m³ / s ), medium (1,540 m³ / s) or maximum (13,000 m³ / s).


It originated in Piedmont, bathes five provincial capitals (in the order Torino, Pavia, Piacenza, Cremona and Ferrara) and marks for long stretches of the border between Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, as well as between the latter and the Veneto, before flowing in the Adriatic Sea in a large delta with 6 branches. Today is moving a large amount of water in the river Po .This thing is due to significant rainfall, which affected all of northern Italy for several days.
